Soloist of the national Philharmonic of ukraine 

Igor Saienko was born in Halle (Saale), Germany. In 2002, after completing his first year of studies at the National Music Academy of Ukraine, he was invited to join the Rizol Button Accordion Quartet of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. From 2016 to 2019, he served as the ensemble’s Artistic Director.Since 2023, he has been a soloist of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.
Igor is a co-founder of the Kyiv Classic Accordion Duo. In 2019, the duo recorded a performance for French national television as part of Au Bonheur de Nacre, a programme dedicated to the accordion.He represents Ukraine at the Confédération Mondiale de l’Accordéon (CMA) and regularly serves as a jury member at national and international competitions, including the annual Trophée Mondial de l’Accordéon. Igor collaborates with leading Ukrainian orchestras and ensembles specialising in classical and contemporary music. Since 2023, he has also been a member of the Kyiv Tango Orchestra.In 2023, he made his debut as a soloist with a chamber ensemble of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
His performances encompass the button accordion, accordina, and bandoneon, reflecting his versatility across a wide range of musical styles and traditions.Among his recent major projects was his participation in City Lights, an original concert production by Nikoloz Rachveli and Lisa Batiashvili, presented in Lviv, Ukraine, in 2026.
Over the past two decades, Igor has maintained an active international performing career, appearing both as a soloist and in collaboration with various ensembles at concert venues and festivals throughout Europe.
